We first met Paul Sutcliffe in 2010, when we moved down to Devon to take over the Armada Dental Centre. We were so impressed with Paul’s expertise and customer service that we now have an annual contract with his company, SS Dental Services. This covers all our routine servicing, maintenance and validation as well as callout for any emergency equipment failures. Having this kind of contract gives us peace of mind. It also demonstrates to the Care Quality Commission that we are a responsible practice and do everything we can to guarantee service continuity. Thankfully, we haven’t often needed to use the callout service, but when we have, the response has always been very speedy with the problem resolved in no time. Sam came round to fix a problem we have had with our dental chair coupling for the last three months. Our previous chair repair service supplier could not repair it and kept telling us it is a problem with the slow motor. The manufacturer kept telling us there is nothing wrong with the slow motor…This left us between a so called rock and a hard place! Sam, your chair technician, came in over a lunch hour to look at this particular problem. He was very well presented, friendly and courteous. We showed him the problem and he repaired it within minutes! He then asked if we had any further concerns and continued to show us what we could do to rectify it and with doing so also try and save money. I was terribly pleased with Sam and so were all the staff. Would have Sam back any day.
We’ve been working with Paul Sutcliffe since 2003, when he installed some equipment for us during a major revamp of the surgery. We were impressed by his professional, friendly service and his phenomenal product knowledge, so we’ve continued to use his services ever since. In particular, we entrust the regular servicing and maintenance of our highly specialized Sirona Chair to SS Dental Services. It’s a beautiful, ergonomic and reliable piece of equipment – the BMW of dental chairs, so we want to make sure we look after it properly. SS Dental Services provide us with a superb level of customer service. They fit their visits in with our time constraints as a practising surgery, and always go the extra mile to make sure parts arrive to schedule. They don’t leave us until they’re happy that everything is in perfect working order. They’re also very proactive and let us know if they spot any issues with other equipment or parts that are likely to need replacing in the near future. This helps us with our planned maintenance. We work as a team to fix things before they fail, so that the surgery never fails its patients.
On arriving at the practice one Wednesday morning to find the suction unit had gone pop, panic stations ensued. The office arranged for Paul to come out asap that morning, unable to fix the unit a call was made. Hey presto a brand spanking new unit would arrive first thing the following morning! An even bigger bonus we would get a discount of the new unit as we are SSD Groups clients! This service was delivered in less than 24 hours and with smiles! Can’t thank you all enough and would have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone!
I started my own private dental practice in 2003, and entrusted Paul Sutcliffe with fitting my bespoke, Sirona dental chair. I was so impressed with his philosophy, his knowledge and his communication skills that I’ve worked with him ever since. Trust is very important to me. My patients place great trust in me as their dentist and I repay their trust by taking pride in my clinical work and carrying out every job to the best of my ability. I extend my work ethic to the team around me, as I need to be able to trust and rely on those who support my practice. It’s not just the clinical team, but people like Paul and SS Dental Services, who keep all my equipment in tip-top condition. He understands my focus on detail and quality, and brings the same exacting standards to his own work. He’s also always happy to take time to explain how things work and can talk in layman’s terms, without using jargon. I invest in regular maintenance and servicing of all my equipment so that I can provide continuity of service for my patients, and Paul is the only engineer I’ve ever really trusted with my dental chair. Over the last ten years, we’ve developed a relationship of mutual trust and respect. I know that when I do need an engineer, he’ll be here quickly and be able to resolve whatever the issue is. That support is invaluable to me.
More than happy with all of our services so far that that have experienced, the way the calls and bookings are handled, the speed in which we deal with things, the competency of Sam and how he fits them in and makes them operational when they have been left in the lurch etc etc. They couldn’t say enough nice things about us. I could recommend the SSD Group to any Dental practice. They are professional and very efficient. They provide excellent staff training to maintain equipment and nothing seems too much for them. I cannot recommend SS Dental enough. We have had nothing but great customer service since the very beginning. Nothing is too much trouble, you never feel like you are an inconvenience, they really have the time for you. Sam has been great in giving me the training with certain things, I never feel like I can’t ask a question or that I’m going to feel stupid. Everyone is just extremely friendly and helpful and goes out of their way to make everything as easy and as stress-free as possible. We honestly have nothing but praise for everyone at the company and would highly recommend them to any Dental Practice.
