What is Pressure Vessel Testing and Why do I need it?
At SS Dental Services, we want to ensure that you have all the necessary information regarding Pressure Vessel Testing and Systems Inspections.
The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR) requires pressure systems to be inspected in accordance with a Written Scheme of Examination.
If you are the owner or user of a pressure system containing a relevant fluid (including steam, gases under pressure or any fluid kept artificially under pressure and becomes a gas when in contact with the atmosphere), these regulations apply to you.
To establish whether you need a pressure vessel inspection, multiply the vessel operating pressure (in bar units) by the vessel capacity (in Litres) i.e. 10 bar x 50 Litres = 500 bar / litres Capacity and therefore is above the 250 bar / litre threshold and requires an inspection with a written scheme of examination.
At SS Dental Services, our fully qualified and friendly inspectors can ensure you and your equipment are fully compliant, providing you with all documentation by means of a thorough examination and a Written Scheme of Examination document.
